Two Hudson Valley Tacos Spots Make Top 100 in Country

If you are looking for a great taco you might want to try a couple at two of Yelp's top 100 taco spots in the country.

When it comes time to go out and grab a bit to eat most of us have a specific place that we go to all the time. If you are going for pizza, you have a favorite place, the same for burgers, wings, and just about everything else. What about tacos? Do you have a favorite Hudson Valley taco spot?

Best Tacos According to "Yelp"

There are a bunch of really good places across the Hudson Valley that offer amazing tacos (more below) but only two of them showed up on the Top 100 taco spots in the country. Every year the folks at Yelp release its top 100 taqueria list, which highlights the country's best taco spots based on 5-star reviews on the popular rating website. This year two taco spots in the lower Hudson Valley made the top 100 and before we share a few places in the Hudson Valley that should've made this list, let's congratulate the two places that did:

Craft Taqueria

The #87 spot on the list this year goes to Rockland County's Craft Taqueria, located at 170 S Main St, New City, NY, and according to some of the reviews, this might be the next place we have to try out, "What an awesome little surprise in a strip mall", "Wow wow WOW!", "This place is always on point. So good it's crazy. You have to come here. Guys are so accommodating."

El Cuñao Deli

The #80 spot on Yelp's Top 100 Taco spots list went to El Cuñao Deli, located at 233 Main St, Nyack, NY. El Cuñao received a ton of 5-star reviews with the most recent saying things like, "The food was soooooo good. The pulled pork was amazing and the portions for the tacos were really good (large tacos)." Another review said, "The staff and owner are so nice. Great seating area so you can sit and enjoy the delicious food. The quesadillas are amazing and the portions are huge.

Yelp Missed a Few!!

Congratulations to each location but every year this list comes out I'm left wondering why none of the taco spots in Dutchess, Ulster, or Orange County ever make the list. Is it because the Hudson Valley doesn't look to Yelp for their restaurant recommendations? That has to be right because we have a bunch of places that offer tacos that I would put up against any of the tacos in the top 100.

Best Tacos in the Hudson Valley

What place do you think has the best taco? There are 3 taco spots I love in the area, one in Beacon, NY, and two in Newburgh, NY. If I'm going to sit and eat I love Hudson Taco on Water Street and if I need to grab and go I love Taco Ticos at 308 Dupont Ave, Newburgh, NY. Both places are amazing!! In Beacon, I LOVE Tito Santana Taqueria at 142 Main St, Beacon, NY. Their brisket taco is phenomenal!! Is there a taco spot you'd like to recommend? Let us know through our station app above.
