It all happened on Saturday, December 3rd at a building located at Undermountain Road, in the Town of Amenia.

According to the New York State Police, troopers from the Dover Plains barracks responded to a report that there was a burglary in progress at the Undermoutain Rd location and when they arrived, they were met by the owner of the property.

The owner told the troopers that he watched two people enter the building and that he then heard loud noises coming from inside.

Police then watched as one of the suspects, Paul Reed came walking from the building and then, the second suspect, Stephanie Baker-Papierowicz, was observed exiting the building.

Police apprehended the suspects and looked inside the building and discovered all kinds of damage including, intentional water damage, from clogging drains and running water, to hardwood floors and carving of letters in to various walls on the first level.

Both suspects were then arrested and charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and sent to the Dutchess County Jail.
