Filming is set to begin on Wednesday September 27th and wrap up on Friday September 29th.

We are almost at that time of year when people start to think about what decorations they are going to put up on their houses this year for Christmas. Now some families take the decorations a lot more serious than others.

Let me introduce you to the Sussin family. Zack, Troy and Cheryl Sussin live on Patch Rd in Saugerties and for the last few years, have been turning their family house into a Christmas Wonderland. They have also been a part of the CJ and Jess Wolf Holiday Express toy drive that we do every year to benefit the Salvation Army.

It looks like the Sussin family is now going to take their awesome Christmas display this year to television.

According to the Daily Freeman, the ABC network show “Great Christmas Light Fight” is going to be in Saugerties filming on September 27th through September 29th as the Saugerties Town Board has granted conditional approval for a mass gathering permit, which will allow a holiday light display to be unveiled in front of up to 400 people at 123 Patch Road on Sept. 29.

The shows producers told the Freeman that, on Sept 29th, “It is the day the family has completed decorating their home and presents it to our judge, this is the first night we’d have them light up their display. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. we tape our big reveal, and we are expecting a crowd of 300 to 400 people.”

After that's done the producers will do final interviews with the family and they will meet with the audience.
