May weather’s can be very unsettled and this week we’ll need to keep a chance of showers in the forecast.  It’s a battle between some unstable air in the southern part of the US and drier air to the north. As high pressure continues to slide off the coast, this will allow some fronts to pass through our area.

Once we get through Tuesday and on into Wednesday, the chance for unsettled weather and showers are very minimal, but we can’t rule them out.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday:  A chance of showers and thunderstorms, more likely after 3pm.  Otherwise, mostly cloudy, high near 81.

Tuesday night:  Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms during the early evening hours.  Low near 57.

Wednesday:  Mostly Cloudy with a chance of showers before 2pm.   High near 70.

Thursday:  Partly sunny, with a high near 78.

Then Friday, Saturday and Sunday there is a chance of rain, but skies will stay mostly cloudy.
