Last week I was speaking to someone who was in front of me in line at the store. They were buying an old hand press drill. I don't know why I said it but I did. Before I could stop the words from coming out of my mouth I said "you know they make ones that come with batteries". The gentleman laughed and said "yes they do, but this one will last longer." We both laughed probably because he was right. The drill he was buying was in good shape and had to be at least 80 years old. I don't know any battery operated drill that would last that long.

Any way now that we were talking I asked do you collect them? He replied, "No" and informed me he would be using it for a project. I couldn't help myself I had to ask what kind of project and that's when he told me he was tapping maple trees. And I replied "is it that time of year already?" It put a huge smile on my face because if we are tapping trees then spring can't be far off.
