This Is a Very Different Elevator Ride

Starting next month, the public will be able to take one of 5 elevators to the Observation deck on top of the new 1 World Trade Center. At first I thought they were made of glass so that you could see the New York Skyline as you go up, but I was mistaken.

What they have done instead,  is show a very powerful time lapse show that takes the riders from the 1500's to now. You can see the skyline change as the years go by. The South Tower of the World Trade Center also appears briefly in the video, which has caused some people to be upset, while others are saying that you can't ignore that it was there and what happened on the awful day in September.

I've watched the video a few times now and I think it's amazing, but I must admit that when the South Tower appeared I caught my breathe. See for yourself.
