The Wreckers reunited last week in Nashville and I'm feeling very emotional about it.

A couple of months ago a wrote a post on a Thursday and had some fun with Throw Back Thursday and some older country songs that I haven't heard in a while. One of the songs was "Leave the Pieces" by The Wreckers. It came out in 2006 and the band was made up of pop star Michelle Branch and country singer Jessica Harp.

Their melodies were so smooth and perfect. I couldn't not be a fan.

Then in 2007, according to RollingStone, The Wreckers abruptly broke up and left fans wondering what went wrong. Michelle Branch told RS that she and Harp couldn't even look at each other at their last show. They hired a mediator who told them they couldn't work together. And The Wreckers were history.

Michelle went on to release new music, while Jessica continued to write songs out of the spotlight. Harp and Branch hadn't been in contact for over ten years, that is until they decided to reunite.

On August 13th Jessica Harp join Michelle Branch on stage in Nashville during her "Hopeless Romantic" tour stop. Then magic happened:

It's been ten years, the pieces might have been rusty at the beginning but Branch and Harp hit their stride after the first chorus and brought the goosebumps immediately. I'm obviously very emotional about this reunion.

Can we get a new Wreckers record now?!
