Kelsea Ballerini is set to perform for the 47th annual Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve broadcast on Dec. 31. MusicRow reports that Ballerini will play her hit duet "This Feeling" alongside the Chainsmokers during the special, which will also feature artists such as Dua Lipa, Ella Mai and Charlie Puth. Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, airs on ABC.

Luke Combs, Chris Janson and Jake Owen have been added to the lineup for Luke Bryan's fifth annual Crash My Playa music festival. Scheduled to be held in Riviera Maya, Mexico, on Jan. 23-26, 2019 the event will also feature performances from Thomas Rhett, Lauren Alaina and, of course, Bryan himself. Additional performers are set to be announced in the coming weeks, and a limited number of VIP packages are still on sale.

Alabama frontman Randy Owen has been inducted into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame. According to a press release, the honor was presented to Owen in recognition of his "business dealings in music, agriculture and humanitarianism." "It's a great honor to be one of this year's inductees into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame," Owen says in a statement. "It's very special that my entire family got to share the night together. God bless all the fellow inductees, their families and our home state!"

Chris Stapleton and Dolly Parton will perform at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute concert. Parton herself is the recipient of the honor, in recognition of her "significant creative accomplishments and longtime support of many charitable causes;" in addition to her lengthy career, Parton is a prolific philanthropist, making contributions to causes including disaster relief in Tennessee and programs to promote child literacy. Norah Jones, Leon Bridges, Shawn Mendes and more artists are also in the lineup for the event, set for Feb. 8.

Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Jake Owen and Canadian artist Dallas Smith are set to headline the 2019 Country Thunder Saskatchewan festival. Set for July 11-14, the annual festival will also feature performances from Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer Terri Clark, Travis Tritt, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Gord Bamford and more. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.

The Tennessee Entertainment Commission has announced that it will offer new incentives for the production of "original scores for film, television, video games and other digital media projects" in the state. The new incentive, developed in conjunction with the Recording Academy, will offer creators a 25 percent reimbursement on qualified projects in the Nashville area, covering costs for musicians, engineers, recording studios, instruments and other expenses. "Scoring has been a growth sector of Tennessee's music industry in recent years," says TEC President Bob Raines in a statement. "It is our goal to make Tennessee the No. 1 destination for these types of media projects and to create high-quality job opportunities for Tennessee musicians and engineers."

Nonprofit organization Musicians on Call has debuted its new "Music Heals" merchandise collection. Proceeds from the line of T-shirts, curated by artists including Lady Antebellum, Chase Rice, Caitlyn Smith, Michael Ray and more, will benefit the organization's mission of bringing live music to patients in healthcare facilities.
