Following an intensive investigation, a Hudson Valley teen is accused of reporting a bomb threat to his high school. It’s believed others were involved.

Around 1:45 p.m. on January 17, Washingtonville High School received a telephone call reporting a bomb threat.

As a result of an intensive investigation by the Washingtonville Police Department in conjunction with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, which encompassed multiple jurisdictions, the caller was identified, police say.

A 17-year-old Washingtonville male was charged with first-degree falsely reporting an incident.

According to the Washingtonville Police Department, the investigation revealed that there was more than one person involved in the bomb threat.

The investigation is still on going, and officials expect more arrests in the future.
