So the battles begin on The Voice. Of course I have a favorite from last night and yes I think Blake got it right. My choice for favorite Battle last night was Cody Wickline and Matt Snook. Both of these guys are fantastic. Matt has been on tour and opened with George Strait and played over seas for the troops. Cody is a young up and comer with a unique country sound. It doesn't hurt that his blind audtion got him a four chair turn for my favorite country song of all time.

If you missed the show then you might not know that Meghan Trainor helped coach both gentleman. She really had a good time with Cody, he was staring at the wall during their practice and she asked if she scared him. I have never seen a guy blush so much as Cody did at the moment.

Coach Blake felt it was important to bring Cody out of his shell and to have Matt dial the confidence back a bit. He was concerned that Matt experiences is getting in the way of him relating to the audience. And that Cody might just shrink on the stage if he didn't connect with the crowd.

So when it was all said and done, Adam who had wanted Cody from the start said Matt sang the best. But when Blake picks Cody, does anyone steal? Nope because I know and Adam knows, Blake got it right.
