As we officially welcome summer we need to be aware of some scams that are going around this time of year.

No matter what season we are in there is always someone looking to scam us one way or the other.

According to the Huffington Post these are the 4 scams we need to look out for this summer:

1. Summer job scams which goes like this, people list fake jobs on Craigslist, or even in the newspaper. But before you can start, they say you have to give them money for things like tools and supplies, or they claim they need your credit card info as a deposit. SCAM!

2. Yard work and home improvement scams. One of the more common scams is when someone knocks on your door, and says they're doing work for your neighbor and they offer to give you the same really low rate on whatever it is they do if you can pay in cash today. SCAM!

3. Moving day scams. A lot of people move during the summer which makes this scam work. It goes like this, you find someone on Craigslist to move your stuff from one place to another and they wind up taking your stuff and holding it for ransom until you pay up. SCAM!

4. Vacation scams. By now you have noticed that your getting more spam emails and if you come across a deal that seems too good to be true, it probably is. A common vacation scam is called "travel clubs" where you have to buy a membership before you can access their deals. SCAM!

Make sure you use caution when dealing with anybody you don't know. Have a great summer!
