A new study found that 49 of the 50 most expensive New York zip codes, outside of the city, are in the Hudson Valley.

Property Shark looked into the most expensive zip codes outside of New York City and Long Island. To determine their list the property research website crunched numbers by finding all closed 2016 residential transactions, including condo, co-op, single- and the two-family homes.

Rye took the top spot for most expensive zip code with a 2016 median sale price of $1,380,000. In total, Westchester County dominated the list with 42 of the top 50 most expensive zip codes.

Cold Spring was the only area from Putnam County to make the list. Cold Spring placed 41 with a 2016 median sale price of $518,500.

Six areas from Rockland County made the top 50, with Piermont the most expensive.

No areas from Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, or Sullivan Counties made the list.
