Sheep Will Herd in Rhinebeck this Weekend

This weekend it is all about wool at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck. Once again they will host the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival. It is annual fall event that sounds like something that you might take your grandma to but trust me it is an event the whole family will love.

On Saturday and Sunday the Dutchess County Fair Grounds will be transformed into a world of wool. Everything from sheep to sheepdogs will be on hand so you can explore all that the NYS Sheep and Wool festival offers. All types of wool and all types of animals that produce wool. You can buy raw wool, finished wool and beautiful hand crafted wool products.

I don't knit and I even have an allergy to most wool but I enjoy the event every year. The sheep art, the Irish sweaters and the drop spindles keep me circling the fair grounds all day. If you are looking for a fall festival where the whole family can find something to enjoy, set the GPS for Sheep and Wool this weekend. The Festival has new hours Saturday 9 to 5 and Sunday 9 to 4.
