Following a number of recent car break-ins, a crime conscious Hudson Valley resident recorded a man attempting to enter a number of cars.

Kingston Police say recently a number of unlocked vehicles parked on Fairview Avenue were entered and had items stolen from.

Monday morning, Kingston Police posted video on their Facebook page that shows a potential thief at work. A resident on Fairview Avenue setup security cameras to try and catch the man.

In the video you can see someone walk up to a car, check the car door and finds it locked. He then walks into a driveway, as he reaches for the car door, the homes motion lights turn on, and the thief walks away.

Kingston Police released the video in hopes someone may recognize the man.
