Sam Hunt gets a Rap Cover

Usually when we discuss a cover it's the other way around. You never really see a rapper voluntarily cover a country song. They'll appear on a song here or there, Ludacris and T.I for example, and sometimes a country artist will cover a rap song i.e Taylor Swift covering Eminem's "Lose Yourself."

Rapper Austin, you read that right...his name is just Austin, covers artists from
Justin Bieber to Adele for something called #TakeOverTuesday. This time he covered Sam Hunt. Austin took Sam's latest single "Break Up in a Small Town" and put his own spin on it. He came up with  his own lyrics, used the same beat and kept the catchy chorus.

I was a bit hesitant to listen to it. I'm a fan of all music, and I know that rap covers can be a bit cheesy. However, I was very impressed with Austin's version of the song. It's like a continuation of Sam's thoughts after he sees his ex with a friend of his. Pretty interesting and unique take on a country song. Take a listen.
