Tuesday morning has brought another major road closure

Commuters are scrambling to find their way around the scene of an accident on Tuesday morning. The Saugerties Police Department is reporting that Route 32 is completely shut down near the Saxton Firehouse.

Hudson Valley traffic reporter, Nancy Reamy, says that some sources are reporting the closure is due to a car that has crashed into a home in the area.

Traffic is being detoured until further notice and Route 32 will continue to be closed between Blue Mountain Road and the intersection of Route 32 and 32A.

Tuesday has gotten off to a rough start throughout much of the Hudson Valley, with southern Orange County communities bracing for snowfall and closing schools ahead of the anticipated winter storm.
