Several new homeowners in our area have been given the chance to appear on HGTV and have their homes remodeled by the Property Brothers.

Last month we reported that brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott were looking to film their hugely successful show, Property Brothers, in the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut area. So far the Journal News reports that "four to five homes" have already been selected for the program.  Those homes are all reported to be in Westchester, and filming is set to begin this month.

Besides some happy new homeowners, there's also some local businesses that will benefit from the filming. Designer, Brittany Zachos, from Rye was selected to work on the homes and assist behind the scenes while the show films in Westchester.

The homes should take around seven weeks to complete, but that's pretty much all we know about them. There has been no announcement as to the location of the specific properties or the names of the owners. Additionally, we have not heard if there would be more filming in other Hudson Valley counties or if production will move to Connecticut or New Jersey after the completion of the Westchester homes.

If you know of anyone who may be involved with the filming, drop us a line. We'd love to hear more about their experience.
