Top moments for me in country music this year include a variety of artists and songs. 2017 had so many great country music moments and locally we had some amazing musical performances. Bethel woods brought us favorites like Florida Georgia Line and Zac Brown Band. Taste of Country had Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris. Brothers Osborne at the Dutchess County Fair was unforgettable.

I am looking forward to the line-ups we will have in 2018. We already know that Eric Church, Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia line will be headlining the 2018 Taste of Country Musical Festival and I am confident we will have more great shows in the HV in 2018. That being said, I wanted to share the moments that captured my attention this year.

Number 3 - Kip Moore The Bull - This song off Kip's Slowheart album reminds us all we learn from everything including our mistakes.

Number 2 - Miranda Lambert Tin Man - Her ACM performance of this honest tune from her album "The Weight of these Wings" reminds us love hurts. Only Miranda could tell her broken heart tale with such creative energy.

Number 1 - Eric Church Why Not Me - This moment in country music this year shouldn't have happen but it did. Eric explaining to the Opry Audience his memory of Las Vegas can't be forgotten. His tribute song and the story told that night will always be one of my most moving music moments. Like Alan Jackson's "Where Were You" Eric's "Why Not Me" helps express emotions that don't always have words.
