A Dutchess County teenager has been arrested after entering Trump Tower in Manhattan, where President-elect Donald Trump has been working on assembling his administration ahead of next month's inauguration.

According to a report in the New York Post, 19-year-old Alexander Wang of Poughquag was arrested in the building which is under guard by the New York Police Department and United States Secret Service after being found with weapons and fireworks in his possession. The weapons reportedly included a hunting knife and a switchblade.

The Post said Wang describes himself as a "survivalist," which is why he claimed to have the items in his bag. The teen also said it was not the first time he had been in the building since Trump was elected and that he uses the lobby as a place to study as a student at Baruch College.

Wang has been charged with two counts of fourth degree criminal possession and a count unlawful possession of fireworks.
