A Port Jervis man pled guilty in connection of felonies charges that he sold heroin and cocaine in Orange County.

35-year-old Anthony Maillet, of Port Jervis, pled guilty to two counts of 3rd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. In court, Maillet admitted he sold cocaine on October 31, 2014 and sold heroin on November 18, 2014, both sales took place in Port Jervis. Maillet also admitted to possessing 96 decks of heroin with intent to sell them in Port Jervis on May 7, 2015.

According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, in May of 2015, City of Port Jervis Police detectives responded to a complaint of suspicious drug activity involving a person in a silver minivan in the Family Dollar parking lot in Port Jervis. When detectives responded, they found Maillet in his silver minivan with 96 glassines envelopes containing heroin. Maillet was also in possession of over one-eighth ounce of crack cocaine and ten methadone pills.

When Maillet was out on bail, on two separate occasions, he sold drugs to undercover officers. On October 31, 2014, Maillet sold cocaine to an undercover police officer in exchange for $200. On November 18, 2014, Maillet was given $300 for heroin he sold to an undercover officer.

As part of the plea arraignment the District Attorney’s Office stated that it will recommend that Maillet be sentenced to 12 years in State Prison when he is sentenced on March 2, 2016.
