An Ulster County woman is accused of driving drunk in the Hudson Valley without a license.

On Sunday around 3:00 a.m., members from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Route 32 in the Town of Plattekill for allegedly failing to maintain its lane.

A further investigation revealed that the driver, 31-year-old Emily N. Organ of Wallkill was operating her vehicle with a suspended license and while intoxicated.

Organ was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and misdemeanors for driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content over 0.08%, as well as the traffic infractions for failure to maintain lane and unlicensed operator.

Organ was released with tickets to appear in the Town of Plattekill Court at a later time.

Awful grades for local hospitals, tragedies, and a police standoff tops this week in Hudson Valley news.
