Police charged a Saugerties man for allegedly allowing a number of teenagers to drink alcohol during an 18th birthday party.

On Sunday just after 2:00 a.m., Saugerties Police responded to noise complaint of of juveniles in the area of Garden Court. Upon arrival police say several teenagers fled on foot and a party was located at a home on the street.

Thomas Delia, 51, was identified by police as the home owner who allegedly allowed the youths to drink alcoholic beverages for an 18-year-olds birthday party.

Authorities say multiple teenagers ranging from 15 to 18 years old were at the party consuming alcohol.

Delia was arrested and charged under the Ulster County Social Host Law with providing alcohol to minors. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Saugerties Court on June 8.

Saugerties Police are continuing their investigation and additional chargers are pending.
