Police say a man was arrested for inappropriately touching young girls at a water park in Fishkill.

The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that a 27-year-old man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching after he was accused of groping two young girls at Splashdown Beach.

The popular water park in Fishkill is where the 15-year-old and 9-year-old girls say a man was inappropriately touching them on August 14. The staff at Splashdown Beach are trained to deal with situations such as these and reportedly sprung into action, alerting police and tracking down the suspect.

The 9-year-old described the man to Splashdown Beach staff who quickly found and identified the alleged perpetrator as being a park visitor from Mount Kisco. Police arrested the man and released him on $2,500 bail. He is due back in Town of Fishkill Court on September 2.

Because the charges are misdemeanors, the Poughkeepsie Journal would not report on the identity of the man charged with touching the two young girls.
