Arlington Central Schools has released information regarding an incident that occurred to a student in the school district and which police are investigating.

Detective Abrams from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department says the incident occurred Friday, Nov. 17 on Rochdale Road in Poughkeepsie around 3pm. A middle school was approached by a man driving a dark green, older, construction-style van that had dirty tires and white lettering on the passenger side. The man told the student that his parents asked the driver to pick up the student. The middle school student didn’t recognize the man and ran away.

The man is described as an older white male with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and a windbreaker. Anyone with information regarding the man or information related to the incident are asked all Town of Poughkeepsie Police at 845-485-3666. This is not the first incident like this in the area. There was one earlier this month.
