A Hudson Valley woman is accused of using a Dutchess County resident's credit card to make over $3,000 worth of purchases.

On Thursday, Town of Poughkeepsie police arrested 20-year-old Kaihla A. Thompson of Poughkeepsie after a two-month investigation into a report of identity theft.

Police allege Thompson stole credit card information from a Town of Poughkeepsie resident and used the credit card information to make fraudulent purchases of over $3,000.

Thompson was charged with first-degree identity theft and third-degree grand larceny, both felonies. She was arraigned in Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
