A Dutchess County man is accused of forging checks and stealing nearly $50,000.

On October 5, 2017, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks received a complaint of a larceny on Maple Lane in the town of Clinton.

An investigation determined that 37-year-old Jason M. Conlon of Clinton forged 12 checks in another person’s name and stole around $47,000, police say.

Conlon was charged with possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny, both class D felonies. He was arraigned before the town of Clinton Court and released on his own recognizance.
