The full moon we will possibly get to see tomorrow night (Sunday) in the Hudson Valley is called the Pink Moon. Like the Blue Moon and the Blood Moon it doesn't get it's name from the color we will actually see in the sky. Instead the word "PINK" refers to something that will be happening on the ground on earth while it shines high in the sky. The Pink Moon gets its name from the fact that it is the full moon when pink flowers are in bloom.

Throughout the year full moons go by many names. Most are related to something that was or is going on during their appearance. The full moon also comes with it share of lore and superstition. Some of those are based in fact but most are base in old wives tales and fiction. I mean really who believes in Werewolves?
