The weather is warming up, time to get outside and have some fun with your family and friends and maybe a new pet? If you've been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, here are some animals the Dutchess County SPCA has up for adoption. IF you're interested in any of this week's pets, please call 845-452-7722.

Minnie Mouse.

Dutchess County SPCA

Meet Minnie Mouse, this sweet young girl likes to play hard to get. Minnie Mouse is a little slow to show affection but when she trusts you, the wait will be worth it. She purrs so loud it could shake a building. Between her stunningly good looks and her personality she would make anyone the purrfect pet.

Calvin.

Dutchess County SPCA

Calvin is a big plush gray male who may appear a little shy at first. He's just waiting for the right person to open up to. If you play with his favorite toy with him or bring a plate of wet food his heart will be yours forever.

Pippi.

Dutchess County SPCA

This gorgeous girl may be just as sweet as they come. The saying "Don't judge a book by the cover" seems to fit her well. As you may notice, she has a "silly" ear, but that just adds personality. This sweet girl will jump right into your lap and start purring the second you meet her. If you're looking for a outgoing adult kitty with an awesome personality she's your gal.

Bernie.

Dutchess County SPCA

Bernie is a sweet, loving cat with very handsome yellow eyes. Bernie has oodles of love to give to his new family, but would like to be the only pet in the home. He would also love to be an indoor/outdoor kitty as he is very adventurous.

Flower.

Dutchess County SPCA

It's spring all year round with Flower! Her beauty will make you smile and her personality and affection will make your heart melt. Flower is an older female cat, who enjoys napping and looking out the windows. She also loves to cuddle and be close to you. Flower is hard of hearing, so she gets a little startled if something springs up on her, but she would truly be happy just having a family to love her.

Lyla.

Dutchess County SPCA

Lyla is as beautiful as they come. She is very sweet and can be shy, but once she gets to know you, that shyness goes away and you have your very own love bug. Lyla does best as an only dog. Lyla has a working dog spirit with great energy. Come meet this beautiful girl.

Mabeline.

Dutchess County SPCA

Miss Mabeline is a very sweet, little lady looking for a place to call her own. Her favorite activity is curling up next to you and snoozing the day away. She would be happy to get up and go for a walk, but she would rather climb up on the couch than hike up mountains, if that's ok with you. Come meet Mabeline.

Pooh-Bear.

Dutchess County SPCA

Pooh-Bear, along with his sister Juniper, have been together for 7 years before they came to the shelter;  They seem quite bonded and would like to stay together. Pooh Bear is much more outgoing than his sister, and absolutely loves his belly to be rubbed. Do you have a place in your heart and home for Juniper & Pooh Bear!

Juniper.

Dutchess County SPCA

Juniper, along with her brother Pooh Bear, have been together for 7 years before they came to the shelter. As stated above, they would like to stay together. Juniper is a little more shy than her brother, but warms quickly and would just love to sit with her head on your lap. Do you have a place in your heart and home (and lap) for Juniper & Pooh Bear!

Bruno.

Dutchess County SPCA

Hi, my name is Bruno! My ideal day consists of going for a nice long walk on a bright sunny day, playing with my favorite toys and snoring the day away on the couch. Although I would do best in a home with out a canine companion, the more human companions I have the happier I will be. If you are interested in knowing a little bit more about me please ask!
