If you eat at Panera Bread be aware that they are recalling some cream cheese sold in stores because of a possible bacterial contamination.

According to WTEN, Panera Bread is voluntary recalling all varieties of their unexpired 2 oz. and 8 oz. cream cheese products that have an expiration date on or before April 2.

Panera released a statement to announce the recall saying that the recall was initiated after the presence of Listeria was found after a test of a single production day. The Listeria monocytogenes were found in one variety of its 2 oz. cream cheese.

There have been no reports illnesses due to the cream cheese and Panera says that they have run tests on multiple cream cheese samples and all of those tests have come back negative.

Panera is calling this recall preemptive and announced that if any customers have any of these products, they should discard them immediately and contact Panera Bread Customer Service, Monday through Sunday, at 1-855-6-PANERA or visit Panera.custhelp.com for a full refund.
