A nine-month investigation led to over 30 arrests for selling heroin and more in the Hudson Valley.

On Monday, the New York State Police and the City of Newburgh Police Department, joined by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, conducted multiple search warrants and made more than 30 arrests as a result of a nine-month long narcotics investigation.

The investigation centered around the sales of heroin, cocaine, PCP and marijuana in the City of Newburgh and several surrounding areas in in Orange County, police say.

In June of 2016, the City of Newburgh Police Department and the New York State Police received information alleging drug sales in the City of Newburgh.

The investigation uncovered several cells of a large scale drug trafficking organization operating within the Hudson Valley, officials say.

All 30 face multiple drug related charges. All 30 haven’t been named. According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, their names will be announced on Thursday.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Town of New Windsor Police, the Town of Newburgh Police and the City of Port Jervis Police assisted.
