One of the Kids from “Everybody Loves Raymond” Committed Suicide

Such a tragic story. Sawyer Sweeten, who played RAY ROMANO's son Geoffrey on "Everybody Loves Raymond", died of an apparent suicide yesterday. He was only 19.

According to People, his family issued a statement saying, quote, "This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred. We are devastated to report that our beloved brother, son, and friend, Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life.

"He was weeks away from his 20th birthday. At this sensitive time, our family requests privacy and we beg of you to reach out to the ones you love."

Sawyer was visiting his family in Texas when he reportedly shot himself on their front porch.

Sawyer's real-life twin brother Sullivan played his brother Michael on the show, and their real-life sister Madylin played their onscreen sister Ally.
