One man has been arrested following an investigation into a fight that broke out during the annual Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade. More arrests could follow.

Village of Wappingers Falls Police responded to a reported disturbance around 2:50 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Mill Street and East Main Street in the Village. A crowded area along the parade route.

Police say a fight broke out between two groups of people that did not previously know each other. As a result, 33-year-old George Gritmon, of Staatsburgh, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Two people sustained injuries as a result of the fight. Both were transported to local hospitals.

The Wappingers Falls Detective Division is currently investigating the incident and additional arrests are pending.
