This story has gotten even more disturbing.

If you missed the story from a few weeks ago, Kingston dentist, Gilberto A. Nunez was arrested Oct. 2 and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Thomas Kolman, of Saugerties.

Nunez was in court last week and plead not guilty and was sent back to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

According to the Daily Freeman, the prosecutor in the case dropped a bombshell in court saying that Nunez was having an affair with Kolman’s wife, Linda, and the District Attorney’s Office later Friday said that was the motive for the killing.

The District Attorney’s Office also said that Kolman’s body was found in his car in a plaza parking lot and video surveillance footage seemed to show Nunez’s SUV traveling to and leaving the scene, according to the Daily Freeman.

The DA said that Kolman was killed by a sedative called Midazolam, which is available to dentists but cannot be purchased by the public.

After searching Nunez's office, investigators found a search history that showed a search for that drug. The DA also said that Nunez received regular shipments the drug before the murder but repeatedly denied having it when he was questioned by investigators.

Nunez's next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 30.
