Cashing in a Winning New York Lottery Ticket

If you've played any of the games mentioned above and have been lucky enough to win you already know that if you win $600 or less you should be able to cash in your ticket at any store that sells lottery tickets. If you win over $600 players are required to make an appointment at a New York Lottery Lottery Customer Service Center to claim their winnings. The lottery currently has a customer service center in Fishkill, New York but according to a sign on the front of the center that appears to be changing soon.

Fishkill, New York Lottery Center Closing

If you are holding a winning lottery ticket and are planning to cash it in at the Fishkill Center you'll need to do it before March 29th! The New York Lottery Claims Center located in the Westage Business Center in Fishkill has announced that the claims center is closing on March 29, 2024, according to a sign that is posted on the entrance to the location. The sign instructs anyone trying to claim various prizes to visit Resorts World Hudson Valley in Newburgh, NY to claim any prizes under $250,000.

The sign also stated that players can also make claims at centers located in Plainview and Schenectady, New York, or by mail. Winners can also make appointments at the three remaining lottery centers online here.
