New Paltz Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Conduct Against a Child

An Ulster County man pleads guilty to the violent felony of sexual conduct against a child.

Ulrich Arlt, 36, formally of New Paltz entered a plea of guilty to the Class “D” violent felony of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree in Ulster County Court.

He admitted that between August 1, 2015 and November 16, 2017, he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct witha child less than 13 years of age.

He was arrested May, 17, 2018, and indicted by a Ulster County Grand Jury on Nevember, 14, 2018 for the sole count to ehich he pled.

Arlt faces a maximum of seven years in state prison to be followed by up to ten years of post-release supervision.  He will be required to register under the New York State Sexual Offender Registration Act for a minimum of twenty years.
