A new food delivery service will begin serving Hudson Valley residents next week. So you may never have to leave your house for groceries again.

According to a press release, starting on Wednesday, Jan. 10, Instacart will be serving the Poughkeepsie area. The on-demand shopping delivery service will be available at local Tops Friendly Markets, CVS, ACME Markets and Price Chopper. If you live in any of the following towns, you'll be able to sign up. It's an app based service, and you can expect your delivery in as little as two hours.

Will this affect how you do your food shopping? The new delivery area will cover more than 50,000 households. Approximately 100 people will be hired to do the shopping for Hudson Valley customers. For more information, you can visit Instacart's website.
