If history show me anything, it shows me that this is a bad idea.

I am a huge fan of actor Burt Reynolds, I loved him in his movies, Stroker Ace, Hooper and of course The Cannonball Run, so anytime I can talk about him or any of his movies, I jump all over it.

It looks like Hollywood is looking to remake the original Cannonball Run movie and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

If you are like Jess and have no idea what the movie is all about, it came out in 1981, and was based on an actual illegal road race that was held several times back in the '70s. The object of the race was to see who could get from the East Coast to the West Coast as fast as possible.

The movie had a ton of big time celebs at the time including, Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Roger Moore, Farrah Fawcett, Jamie Farr, Terry Bradshaw, Peter Fonda, and Jackie Chan.

Obviously I'm a fan of the movie but one of the things I remember most about it was at the end of the movie when the credits rolled they played a blooper reel of all of the screw ups.....take a look and beware there is some profanity...

No word on the cast yet but I hope they don't screw this up and PLEASE make sure Burt is in it somewhere
