Rapper Nelly is no stranger to country music. In 2004 he released "Over and Over" featuring Tim McGraw. More recently, Nelly appeared on the Florida Georgia Line remix of "Cruise" and also toured with the boys of FGL.

Well, he's dipping his toes in the country water once again. This time taking on Thomas Rhett and "Die a Happy Man." It's no secret that "Die a Happy Man" is probably going to be the "it" song for the up coming wedding season, so why not capitalize on it and make it appealing to all genres of music?

Nelly puts his classic late 90's early 2000's hip hop spin on the song and I actually don't hate it.Yeah, it's kind of cheesy but what did you expect? And you have to give him some respect for trying to cover a country song, it's not every day you hear a rapper jump over to country.

A+ for effort, Nelly!

You can see Thomas Rhett perform "Die a Happy Man" live when he opens for Jason Aldean at Bethel Woods on July 14th.
