A Hudson Valley man has been arrested on a slew of charges after allegedly terrorizing a neighborhood while naked and yielding a 4x4 piece of wood.

Well, in case you were wondering if it's illegal to run around a neighborhood naked threatening people with a piece of wood, the answer is absolutely yes.

Police responded to a report of a naked man who had unlawfully entered a home. Once police arrived, they found Michael Faggianelli, 28, of Chester in the yard near the home. Faggianelli was completely naked and holding a 4x4 piece of wood which he threw when officers arrived.

An investigation revealed that before officers arrived Faggianelli also threaten residents with broken glass and a canoe paddle. He entered and exited one home, who did not know him. Faggianelli had to be tasered after he picked up a lawn chair and advanced on the officer. The taser was successful but Faggianelli began to physically fight the officer, and broke free and attempted to get into a parked vehicle.

A neighbor assisted the officer with taking Faggianelli down and getting him handcuffed. The officer and neighbor both suffered bites from Faggianelli, and required treatment at the hospital.

Faggianelli was arrested and charged with Assault in the second and third-degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Trespassing, Menacing, Criminal Mischief (two counts), Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest.

Faggianelli was sent to Orange County Jail on $5,000 bail, $15,000 bond. He is due back in court at a later date.
