New York State Police in Wurtsboro have arrested a man on several drug charges after a traffic stop on July 18.

A 29-year-old man was pulled over in the Town of Thompson after Troopers observed his black Mazda sedan violating traffic laws. While interviewing him, authorities detected an odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle. The search led to the discovery of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA capsules and LSD, police said.

The accused was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th and 7th degrees along with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was sent to Sullivan County Jail on a $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. Criminal charges were later dismissed in Town of Thompson Court.
