The Mountain Jam Music Festival at Hunter Mountain has traditionally taken place the first weekend in June. Starting in 2017, that is set to change.

An announcement today states that the fest will in fact move to June 16th-18th. Heading into year 13, maybe it's time for a change. The official reason for the move, is later in the month historically has better weather.

In years past, Mountain Jam has been plagued by bad weather including the cancellation of the Avett Brothers this past June. A partial refund was awarded to those folks who purchased four day passes as a result of the cancellation.

Another change announced in the email to fans today, there won't be a Thursday headliner on the main stage. Campers will still be able to gain entry into the campgrounds, and there will be action onsite, just not on the main concert area.

If you've already purchased a four day pass, you'll automatically be refunded the difference in a few weeks. Should you require a full refund as a result of the date change, you can find more info HERE.
