If you checked out social media at any point within the last few days I'm sure you've seen posts about new toys your friends received from Santa. Seeing all the Adele tickets for Madison Square Garden in September hurt my soul a little, no worries though. I got a pretty cool record player and vinyl albums to rock out to.

Anyway, country stars are just like us! They posted pictures of their gifts too. There were pictures of families, videos of kids opening up gifts and a picture of Miranda Lambert and her Grandmothers fur coat. Her Grandma gifted her two fur coats and Miranda decided to share with the world.

As we all know, Miranda is big hunter, animal lover and does whatever-the-heck she wants. That's one of the reasons I like her so much.

Of course after the picture was posted animal lovers were furious. According to E! Online PETA was none too happy either, they released a statement saying ""We had higher hopes. Since Miranda rescues dogs, we always thought she could see that whether fur comes from a mink, a fox, or a dog or a cat in China, the source is always a gentle animal who did not want to die."

While I understand PETA's point, it wasn't only a gift, but it was handed down to her from her "Nonny." In my eyes that's a family heirloom and something very important to Miranda. I really don't think Miranda went out with the intention of hurting anyones feelings. And like PETA stated, Miranda is a huge advocate for rescue dogs and other animals.

Should Miranda get a pass?

Miranda has yet to comment.
