It's being called the 2017 Ulster County Veterans Stand-Down.

This great event is set for Friday August 11th at the Ulster Hose Company No. 5, 830 Ulster Avenue and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the Daily Freeman, this event is being done in hopes to benefit all military veterans, including those who have fallen on hard times, by putting them in touch with people and places that can help.

Some of the services that will be that will be shown include, benefits assistance, housing, a Veterans Health Administration clinic and legal assistance.

They will also have people from businesses on hand that are looking to hire veterans, as well as other employment assistance.

Both breakfast and lunch will be served at the event.
