Manager of Hudson Valley Motel Charged in Child Porn Case

According to the Daily Freeman, the manager of the Atlas Motor Lodge which is located on Tillson Avenue in Highland was arrested on Wednesday by federal agents and Lloyd police.

Neil Rothfeder was arrested and charged with the receipt and distribution of child pornography. The Lloyd Police Department told the Freeman that Rothfeder was arrested at 8AM Wednesday at the motel where he lives and also manages.

Rothfeder was charged with two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography which according to the United States Department of Justice could carry a sentence of 15 years plus in jail if found guilty.

Both the Town of Lloyd Police department and the Department of Homeland Security assisted in the investigation and arrest.

Rothfeder was arraigned in federal court in Albany and sent to the Albany County Jail without bail.
