A 47 year old man has been reported missing after going under while swimming in the Hudson River Monday. The man along with his two companions were fishing when he reportedly decided to go for a swim. The three had rented a cabin at Croton Point Park according to LoHud.

The man was approximately just shy of 500 feet from shore around 11 a.m. when he began to struggle and went under the water. The area he was swimming is known as Teller's Point, a popular fishing spot in the southernmost portion of the park. The current is known to be strong in this area, the reason swimming is not allowed.
