Man Attempts to Lure High School Student on Spackenkill Road
Another Hudson Valley school is alerting parents this week of a suspicious vehicle approaching students.
On Tuesday afternoon, October 2nd, the Arlington School Central School District shared on their Facebook page a message they received from a neighboring school district. The Spackenkill School District sent out a message to parents stating that a high school student was asked to get into a "white van with commercial lettering." The student fled the scene.
The incident happened along Spackenkill Road. Below you will find the photo of the suspected vehicle.
This incident comes after reports of another man trying to lure young students into his car. On Friday, September 24th, two young girls were waiting at their bus stop, in the Wappingers Central School District, on Route 9 by Planet Wings when they were approached by a man in a "black or dark blue Subaru Forester" according to the girls' mother Erica Ramos.
Ramos tells Hudson Valley Post that the man asked her children "Would you girls like a ride to school?" The girls told the man "No" but he stayed near them until another parent told him to leave. The man is described as being in his 40s with a beard and a New York license plate ending in 4263.
As always if you have any information on either vehicles, notify the authorities.
