A man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl while she stayed at a popular Hudson Valley camp.

New York State Police from Dover were dispatched to investigate a reported sexual offense that occurred at Camp Berkshire in the Town of Dover. Police allege that on July 18, 50-year-old Henry A. Fernandez, of Allentown, Pennsylvania had sexual contact with a 13-year-old female victim.

Fernandez was charged with 2nd-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors.

Fernandez was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dover Court at a later date and time.
