Major Hudson Valley Forest Fire Continues to Burn [Updated]
A large blaze that began Sunday afternoon around noon, continues to burn. Although officials report that approximately 75% of the fire is under control.
The Washington Times reports, what began as a Hudson Valley resident burning brush, has resulted in more than 2,400 acres of lost woods in the Shawangunk Ridge State Forest. New York state is currently under a burn ban, which could result in charges for the person suspected of starting the fire.
