Smoothie King is finally headed to the Hudson Valley.

Soon, the Hudson Valley will finally be able to fuel up with smoothies from the legendary Smoothie King. The business started in 1989 when Smoothie King opened up its first store in New Orleans. Since then, the company has exploded with over 800 locations in four countries and 33 states.

Until now the closest Smoothie King locations were near New York City. Now, a franchise is opening up in Wappingers Falls. There has been no official start date posted on the store's official Facebook page, but a note that says "Blending soon" graces the top of the page.

Smoothie King will be opening up on Route 9 near the Village of Wappingers in the building that was recently occupied by Bad Ass Coffee. The facade of the building has already been changed, with an enormous Smoothie King logo replacing the old coffee shop's sign. The store will also be utilizing Bad Ass Coffee's old drive-thru window, so you'll be able to grab those smoothies on the go.
