Not since 2006 has a female artist debut single make it to number one the country charts. Carrie Underwood and "Jesus Take the Wheel" took that coveted spot in 2006 and now Kelsea Ballerini is filling out the top of the chart.

"Love Me Like You Mean It" was released to radio in early 2015 and took off like a bullet. Kelsea's popularity also shot up after tweets, instagram videos and all types of social media support from artist like Taylor Swift started filing in. With "Love Me Like You Mean It" gaining so much popularity, we'll be seeing a lot more of Kelsea Ballerini. We can't forget to mention that she'll be on the CMT Women of Country Music tour this fall with Jana Kramer.

Needless to say I think that Kelsea Ballerini and her success will help pave the way for more female country artist.
